Our Weekend of FUN!

Today is Saturday and time for some FUN!  I now have six words written on my computer.  I found them as I read some of the books that I got before I left on the journey.  OH YES, I said I read something.  I'm not much of a reader because you have to be still to do that, and I'm just not that still.  However, when it is 12:00-2:00 in the morning and you can hear in the hotel when someone itches their nose, reading or blogging is my only choice.  So I have a few words that help me each day.

Obey -- choose to obey and not rebel on your walk.
With-- choose to walk "with" God not "away" from Him
Obedience -- choose to JUST DO IT, don't doubt it
Faith -- choose to have "faith" in the unknown or unseen
Trust -- choose to trust that it is all in God's plan
Hope -- choose to let go so God can do GREAT THINGS THROUGH YOU

So with that in my heart... two missions this weekend...Have some FUN and find a CHURCH!

Okay so this is really cool how this played out.  This week Natalie and Denman have been putting on Magic shows for me.  I'll have to see if I can get a video on here so you can see it too.  Very entertaining to watch and super cute!  They did many tricks and even used each other as their assistants.  It reminds me of the shows we used to put on growing up.  I'll keep those performers nameless.  LOL

Now as we were looking for things to do this weekend, it was soo hard to decide because of the variety of things going on.  Well until Rusty said... Mickey's Magic Show is in town.  And I said, THAT'S IT... that is where we need to go.  So we got tickets for today and off we went to see the show.

It was a great show and it was pouring down rain all day so I am so glad that we picked something inside today.  The kids loved it.  There is just something about Mickey Mouse and the way that he can just put a smile on our face and warmth in our heart.  It was awesome.

I must share too that an "assistant" from the show came down and asked Natalie if she would like to go up and help out with the Magic Show today.  I was so excited and started getting my camera ready to go so I could get a great picture of my little Natalie on stage... Until, Natalie said, No thank you.  So then she asked Denman, No thank you.  ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!  WHOSE KIDS ARE THESE?  So I totally tried to talk her into going in a nice it won't be scary kind of way, but NO LUCK!  Oh my heart just dropped.  How fun would that have been to go up on stage and help Mickey with an act?  Seriously... "I" wanted to go.  But then I started to think about what all we had been through that week and how crazy emotional she must feel inside just being here and not knowing anyone.  I get it, maybe next time.  Then Rusty asked her as we were walking out.  So you think you'll get up there next time they ask you... Natalie said, "I doubt it!"  Gotta work on that one!

We are waiting to see Mickey!

I don't think you can ever get too old for Mickey!

Natalie did say later that she totally could have done what that girl did when she went up on stage so maybe I'll use that one to get her hooked on preforming. :)

We found Natalie a Magic Wand and Denman a Magic cape to bring home so I bet our Magic shows at home will be WAY more real now. :)

After the show, we were headed to get long sleeved outfits for our first church visit tomorrow.  We still don't have all our warm clothes because they are all in the "box" in the house.  Sounded like a great reason for us to go shopping to me. :)  We found Natalie the cutest dresses ever and Denman a pull over that HE picked out. Now lets just see if he wears it. We spent most of the afternoon in the mall looking around and FINALLY found some chicken strips that Denman LOVED.  He even said they tasted just like Chickfila nuggets.  JACKPOT!!!  GOD IS SOO GOOD!

Lunchtime at the John Lewis Mall!

I have to keep my jacket on all the time still.  It is soo cold.  The kids LOVE it though.

Denman thought his drink was the coolest because of the lemon on the side.

FINALLY!!!  Denman is full and took a nap!!!

After lunch we headed out to find a gym.  We found one that Rusty LOVED because it has a golf course too.  It is his first country club to join.  The smile on his face was priceless when he found out about the golf course.  I'm excited about him teaching the kiddos how to play too.  However, the facilities are just not up to par with what I am used to and we have to wait ten weeks to join because of the wait list.  Okay so I know it doesn't sound like a long time, but I need some relief NOW!  I'm going to pray about it and really hope that we get a call earlier so I can get back to working out and the kids can start some camps.  We are having a hard time finding kiddos their ages here.  They are all off on what they call "holiday", aka in the UK out of town.  As I am just doubting away about this gym, I turn around and see that they just had a "magic show kids camp".  CRAZY!  So I then look up and agree to JUST DO IT, NO DOUBTING.

This is Denman after he had a GREAT nap in the car.  I LOVE that I'm rested smile!

So, very successful day and kids are down for the night and we turn on the not so great TV hoping for just something descent to watch.  We found a movie that looked just OK but had that guy in it that always plays crazy people, so we started watching it.  As the show went on it ended up being about a magician.  SERIOUSLY!!  It was called "The Illusionist".  It was actually a great movie.  I'm sure it is in the dollar area in some blockbuster that hasn't shut down yet because of red box.  Which, BTW they DO NOT have here.

So listen to me when I tell you.... God is talking to you all the time!  I can prove it every day now!  Don't get so busy that you miss out on the plans that He has for you.  It is so exciting to watch the pieces come together.  Praying I keep the faith with my ears and eyes wide open so I don't miss a THING!!!

Just let go and let God do all the work!
