What I love about Aberdeen!
I must tell you that there are MANY things that I truly LOVE about Aberdeen! One of the biggest ones would have to be the amazing ladies! I am meeting new people every day and I am just amazed at how welcoming most of the Aberdeen women are to all of the different cultures that surround them. They are so sweet and will help you find anything that you can explain. They don't call things what we do so trying to explain what you mean can be a challenge, but so worth it!
One Saturday night we all decided we needed to get together to celebrate going back to school. It was a blast. The kids got to run around outside and explore while the parents hung out. Of course the girls took over the kitchen while the boys headed outside. The kids were in and out all night grabbing a few bites then back to exploring.
Later after talking to Natalie I heard that they played badminton, went on a nature walk, played soccer, and shared school stories. They all came in wet and muddy so I know they had a great time. I had to keep checking on Denman because the only rule I had with his cast was to keep it dry. I kept going out to make sure that was happening and by the third trip out Denman yells from across the field....I'm okay mom.. and YES IT IS DRY! Guess I'm a little too cautious with him lately. LOL!
Here are the mommas that are taking the same walk. I admire them in so many ways. I love their strength, love, and support that they dish out the second that you meet them. We are all new to Aberdeen and ready to make it one of the best years of our lives.
Natalie, Lauren, and Kaitlyn found time to take a break and eat some burgers.
The big girls helped us keep an eye on the little ones while they were outside.
The boys found the nature trail and ended up having to change clothes.
Jen said we could NEVER make a wine drinker out of her... WRONG!!!
We mixed it up with a little sprite and now she is HOOKED!!!
The boys were enjoying the sunshine.
It rained all day long, but stopped just in time for us to all play Saturday night. :)
I love also that Rusty is the most relaxed that I have EVER seen him. He takes time to breathe and relax. He has even played a little golf. I will post his golf pictures as soon as I get a hold of his phone. The courses here are just beautiful!!!
This was the first night in a LONG time that I had to go out and tell him that the kids were ready to go so we had to leave. It is usually him dragging me out. :)
